Meet The Team

Susan Conte
Artistic Director
Susan has spent her career as a producer and director in theatre (The Roundhouse, The Open Space, touring Indies), film (Freeway Films) and television (BBC & C4). She founded Wild Duck Theatre in 2015 to create work with a talented team of co-workers and independently develop plays for production.

Fleur de Henrie Pearce
Associate Producer and Actor
Fleur is a London based freelance film and theatre producer and launched her own production company, Parvis Magna Productions, in 2021.

Fleur trained at Arts Educational and over the last 20 years has performed with a number of London theatre companies including The Long Road by Shelagh Stephenson which premiered at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2019 to great acclaim. Fleur's experience is varied and extends from actor to make-up artistry, with over 12 years working with and managing events for prestigious clients in the film, theatre, art, fashion, and editorial industries. Fleur is thrilled to be back after taking a year out to have a baby.
As well as being a London based freelance film and theatre producer with Wild Duck Fleur works as a Producer with Braybrook Productions.

Charlotte Skinner
Marketing Executive
Charlotte has been a theatre enthusiast since her childhood where she first appeared in a local production of Cinderella at 16. Her love has taken her on a journey through a number of roles, both acting and crew and has been cast in various Wild Duck productions.
With a 20-year background in marketing and business, Charlotte takes great joy working with the talented Wild Duck team bringing to life their marketing and advertising campaigns.
Away from theatre and work, Charlotte is a keen indoor cyclist and is often spinning away in a nearby class.

Michelle Hood
Associate Director
Michelle studied drama at the Guildford School of Acting and worked as a professional actress for many years. More recently she ran a large stage school in Surrey and still teaches drama and singing. She continues to act and direct and is involved with a number of groups including Richmond Shakespeare Society and Teddington Theatre Club where she was recently Artistic Director. For Wild Duck, Michelle has directed several podcasts of original short plays as well as being Associate Director on a number of Wild Duck productions.

Jane Gough
Associate Director & Stage Manager
Jane has a love of all things theatrical, from weekend drama school at 14 to stage-manager for Wild Duck at the present time. She also loves being a part of the new podcast project and is delighted to be making her Directorial Debut in Season One – directing The Shell Pilgrim.

Pennie Bayliss
Head of Costume
Pennie has been working with Wild Duck since its launch in 2015 and is an integral member of the core production team. Her costumes helped win Wild Duck its best production NODA award for King Charles III in 2019.

Marc Pearce
Technical Consultant
Marc is an award-winning filmmaker who co-owns Braybrook Productions, producing both films and documentaries. Marc's awards include
‘Best Action Short’ for Under the Jericho Sun
at the Bristol Film Festival.
Marc also has extensive experience in live theatre, where he started as an actor, and has directed and designed over 30 productions. He has worked with a number of London lighting and sound hire companies and has been instrumental in the implementation of new technical systems complete with new lighting rigs, lighting systems, and soundboards.
Marc has worked widely as a professional photographer - his work includes theatrical photography and events at Pinewood Studios and EON Productions.

Harry Doyle
Sound Designer
Harry is a guitarist and songwriter who has played in several bands over the last 20 years and has recorded and produced several soundtracks: shown on SKY and NOW TV as well as an independent film. He now focuses on composing original pieces and sound design.
He enjoys creative collaboration most of all.

Joe Evans
Musical Composer
Joe has composed the music and created original soundtracks for many recent shows with
Wild Duck. Originally a self-taught musician/songwriter, he has worked in the theatre for a decade, both as a composer and a producer, staging over a dozen shows on the fringe and in the West End, and working with some of the top names in Musical Theatre. His latest works includes a live stream of his musical “Gatsby” which was recorded as a concert performance at Cadogan Hall. The production then showcased its first fully staged run at the Southwalk Playhouse at the end of 2021.
Next up is "DORIAN: A New Musical" Inspired by Oscar Wildes' "The Picture of Dorian Grey"
Composed by Joe and Written by Linnie Reedman. "DORIAN: A New Musical" is playing at The Other Palace 14 and 15 September 2023

Gordon McDougall
Wild Duck Patron
Gordon McDougall is a hugely experienced freelance theatre director and academic who has also been Artistic Director of the Traverse Theatre, Granada TV's Stable Theatre, The Oxford Playhouse and the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, Canada.

Buffy Davis
Wild Duck Patron
Buffy has worked in a wide range of British and Foreign films and at The National Theatre, The Old Vic, and The Young Vic as well as extensively in radio drama. Buffy is the voice of Jolene in The Archers.
